PLANT A ROW FOR THE HUNGRY IS A PROGRAM OF THE GARDEN WRITERS ASSOCIATION
1. Support the Food Bank by planting an extra row in your home garden, no matter what the size, to help feed the hungry in your community
2. Plant vegetables and fruits that travel well and are good keepers including: broccoli, cabbage, carrots, peas, green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers, eggplants, summer squash, onions, beets. Herbs are also welcome.
3. Harvest and thoroughly clean your produce.
4. Deliver your produce to the Food Bank during their hours of operation, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9am till 12 noon.

So, plant an extra row in your garden this year and join us in the fight against hunger in our community!
